Lead Piping Engineer

Our Client, an Oil & Gas Company is looking for a Lead Piping Engineer with at least 10 years of experience.

Purpose of role:

The Lead Piping Engineer co-ordinates all the piping engineering, piping design and equipment layout functions to meet the objectives of a Project.

Organise and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of piping discipline engineers and designers, within the parameters of a project schedule

Skills required:

·      A thorough knowledge of the codes and standards and a good understanding of offshore engineering practices applicable to topsides equipment layout and piping design for oil and gas facilities.

·      Extensive current design experience is required in piping engineering, piping stress, pipe supports, topsides equipment layouts and detailed piping design, all gained with notable design contractors and/or oil/gas companies within the petrochemical industry particularly with respect to offshore oil and gas installations.

Qualifications:

• Must possess superior engineering skills
• Must have advanced knowledge of piping engineering
• Must have experience as a project lead
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Sufficient knowledge of piping materials to guide staff in the preparation of piping and valve specifications and subsequently ensure purchase to required standards.
• Relevant experience of the associated engineering disciplines of Metallurgy, Mechanical, Structural, and Process systems would be a distinct advantage
